So this Monday we had a visit from DeBouwsteen and while they were here, they had a briefing on the upcoming LEGO House.
As a special surprise we were able to show them the brand new model of the LEGO House.
That is one extraordinary building that I am looking forward to seeing in real life!.
Thanks to DeBouwsteen for a great day and for being such nice people. I trust you’ve had some awesome days here in Billund and it seems the weather was kind enough to make the entire trip even better.
Safe trip back home to the Netherlands and I’ll see you at LEGO World in Utrecht later this year.

Looks cool. According to your description, I suppose this is *NOT* the model created by BIG (Bjarke Ingels Group, the architects behind LEGO House) and used in the design competition.
BTW: last Saturday, I had the chance to attend the event arranged by Billund Handelsforening and TLG including briefing on LEGO House and a visit to LEGO Idé-huset. It was a mixed group of AFOLs, members of staff clubs as well as “civilians”. Great success. This Saturday, there will be “FULL HOUSE” for an identical tour as 100 members from Danish LUG Byggepladen will participate. Catching a glimpse of the big model would be cool, but that’s probably not on the agenda. We’ll enjoy the tour anyway, though.
And, oh yeah, LEGO House is going to be a new, exciting adventure. I sure hope the Community will be able to take part in this endeavor. As a platform, this could bring a new “attack surface” for luring users to the Community. 🙂
